Book Cover Design Competition

✦ Book Cover Design — India and the World’s Great Religions
This cover was created as part of a national-level competition centered around Kuppuswamy Narayan’s India and the World’s Great Religions. The book reflects on India’s engagement with a wide range of spiritual traditions — both indigenous and global — and my goal was to visually translate that diversity into a unified, symbolic composition.

I was selected till the second round of the competition, and although I didn’t win, the experience became a turning point in how I approach design. It pushed me to create beyond comfort zones — blending intricate symbolism, cultural sensitivity, and illustration in a way that felt authentic and deeply intentional. The final artwork celebrates India’s spiritual pluralism and the harmony that can exist within complexity.

This project reminded me that sometimes, not winning still leads to your most meaningful work.
